I have been in the field of dentistry for 40 years and have seen the profession evolve into what we have today. A very exacting, exciting high tech profession that has not lost the personal, professional and caring touch of patients under their care. I have also experienced numerous and varied dental trade shows and meetings, on both a large and small scale, national and international.
Additionally, I have been a guest lecturer at a number of these programs. World Dental Expo
™ grew out of a necessity to facilitate Dental Practitioners. Recently, attendance at dental trade shows, as well as sponsored lectures and meetings by manufacturers on specific products have been in decline.
Certainly the economic downturn has contributed to this decline in attendance with spiraling costs for airfare, hotel and registration, as well as, fees charged for attendance at specific programs at these shows.
Aside from the increase in costs of attending a "live" tradeshow, the greater percentage of over one million dentists worldwide, rarely ever have the opportunity to attend a dental tradeshow or educational meetings.
